We offer three main varieties of Swing and Jazz Bands – 1920s Gatsby | 1950s Rock ‘n’Roll | Rat Pack Crooner.

Each of these bands capture the essence of these eras with popular tunes from the time as well as current chart hits performed in the style of the period.

All of our Jazz & Swing Wedding bands perform as standard x2 45 minuets sets with an optional additional DJ service to fill in the gaps to provide you with a total of 4 hours of entertainment.

Additional sets can be arranged on requites as well as acoustic performances during the day. For an example of daytime entertainment check out our Jazz Band (using the same musicians as the Jazz & Swing band).

Gatsby Band – 1920s Style Swing Band

Put on your dancin’ shoes – this is undeniably danceable and it’s contagious! Bloomsbury Vintage Swing takes you back to the golden age of jazz with a roaring seven-piece of award-winning musicians, performing the music they love from the illegal speakeasy bars of Prohibition to the dancehalls of the Deep South, New York and Chicago.

As previously mentioned this band performs both classics from the era as well as vintage arrangements of modern songs as seen in their cheeky Christmas rendition of ‘Santa Baby‘.

The band can be booked in differing sizes depending on size of venue and budget:

Gatsby Band

1920s Style Swing Band

Jazz Band – 1950s Swing & Rock ‘n’ Roll

This energetic and unique vocal-led jazz band boasts an extraordinary set list ranging from Louis Armstrong and 1950s Rock ‘n’ Roll all the way to Postmodern Jukebox style arrangements of current popular hits.

Typical set lists include songs from popular styles including Swing, Dixie, Blues, New Orleans & Rock ‘n’ Roll. The band continuously adding new arrangements to their repertoire and regularly host themed evening including music of Quentin Tarantino’s iconic film scores. If you have a particular theme in mind for your event then this band are the ideal choice as they can tailor their arrangements for you.

Based in Manchester this jazz band can be booked either as a 5 or 6 piece group. The 6 piece has the addition of electric guitar which lends itself to the more contemporary side of their repertoire.

Rat Pack Style Crooner – Sinatra to Bublé

The Rat Pack were an iconic group in the 1950’s & 60s that included legendary crooners Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr. Today Michael Bublé is the most famous crooner performing all the classics alongside his very own hits.

Our crooners can be booked as soloists with backing tracks or with live accompaniment – from piano to full big band. Whilst they’re perfect for background music they can also be booked for headline performances.

They perform a huge range of songs and are happy to tailor their set lists to your requirements. Famous hits include New York, New York, Cry Me a River, Fly Me To The Moon, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, That’s Amore & My Way.
